Block Design Patterns Training
The Block Design is a subtest of the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-IV (WAIS®-IV) and Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC®-V). This subtest is designed to assess visual-spatial, organizational, and nonverbal problem-solving abilities. It is a timed test, therefore fine motor abilities are also a factor. The person is shown similar blocks with solid red surfaces, solid white surfaces, and surfaces that are half red and half white. The test-taker is required to duplicate a pattern that is presented to them by the test-administrator, first as a physical model and then as a two-dimensional image, using an increasing number of these blocks.
